Flavonix® Cytoflamm Gel

Flavonix® Cytoflamm Gel

An effective wound-healing treatment targeting inflammation and bacterial biofilm formation

  • Biofilm breakdown

  • Inflammation control

  • Wound advancement

Procedure Descripton
Biofilm is a non-viable glycopolysaccharide and fibrin by-product of bacterial proliferation associated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus as well as numerous other saprophytic and nosocomial species of bacteria. This by-products forms an impenetrable film/mesh covering the wound as soon as 24 hours from the time of interruption to the skin barrier, preventing the administration of wound healing and decontaminating agents to the wound bed. Flavonix® Cytoflamm Gel is designed to restore access to the wound bed and to provide an optimal wound bed for further treatment by pharmaceuticals, devices, dressings or other topical agents. Flavonix®

Product Description
Flavonix® Cytoflamm Gel treats, alleviates and compensates for injury by the maintenance of a moist wound healing environment and breakdown of biofilm produced as a by-product of bacterial contamination due to the interruption of the skin barrier function. It modifies and supports the immunological (physiological) process in order to assist with the maintenance of an optimal moisture balance, oxidative state, pH and bacterial burden which promotes biofilm breakdown.
